When I opened my doors in July of 2009, I committed to serving the freshest Italian dishes made from local and seasonal ingredients. I learned early the heart of Italian cooking is the flavor…or sapore. My school of teaching was from the best; my Nonna Elena and Mother Lia. Their philosophy has been carried on in my style of cooking: use simple ingredients and the food will speak for its self. Classic Italian dishes grace the menu but are personalized with my unique touch. Quality and consistency is what you will find with each dish. I would never serve anything short of that. So whether you are looking for a memorable night out or a glass of wine with friends, I am glad that you have chosen Sapore.     Wonderful addition to the Kirkwood dining scene. Vibe is elegant but comfortable. The restaurant was full but not loud. Service was fantastic: attentive but not overbearing. There was a small glitch with our entrees getting out timely, but they fully explained what was going on without us asking, and it was all good. The menu has a wide enough selection that there is something for everyone.

    We started with beet carpaccio which was amazing. Then shared the pear and gorgonzola salad. The birthday boy got a steak and I got the Delicata Squash side. At that point I was so full that I could barely finish half, even though it was delicious. Everything about the evening was wonderful and our server, Jordan, was engaging. There when we needed her but not hovering. It's a lively atmosphere, so not the place if you want to have a quiet convo but the food and service are top notch.

    A former co-worker recommended this place years ago & my BFF & & I have been dining here off & on ever since. The food is delicious. Love the ambiance of this quaint little place in the heart of Kirkwood.
