- JJennyvipSan Francisco Bay Area •31 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoWhat a wonderful experience at Joe Fortes—no wonder it’s an institution! We unfortunately kept experiencing delays beyond our control and had to move our booking no less than 3 times within the hour and they were so, so gracious about it. Our server, Norm, was fantastic, and gave us excellent recommendations! The food was perfection-favorites were the calamari, lobster bisque, sablefish, arctic char, and mussels (basically everything we ordered; and the pavlova (my own baking specialty) and carrot cake were perfectly delectable! I will need to come by every time I visit (I’m from California). Make sure you make reservations as they get busy!More infoJoe Fortes Seafood & Chop HousePrice: Expensive• Seafood• West End•4.6
- AAlexandreVancouver / British Columbia •19 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoTop-notch French-inspired cuisine. On par with what I would find at a good Montreal restaurant. I had heard ups and downs since Chef Feenie took over but the meal we had was better than Lumiere. We shared a burrata salad with local beets -- nothing otherworldly but fresh ingredients and tasty. Also shared the hamachi crudo which is apparently award-winning, and I can see why. I had one of the best duck breasts I have had in my life, with seared foie gras accompaniment to boot. My friend had the veal with morel sauce. Both were really top-notch. We sat at the bar and had very friendly and attentive service. Wine list is relatively small for this type of restaurant, and the bottom end of the price range is missing. We had the sommelier suggest a bottle of low-intervention burgundy which suited our food well. Atmosphere is very classic and not too loud. Overall a classy restaurant perfect for a business meeting, tete-a-tete, or a special occasion when you want to hear each other talk!More infoLe CrocodilePrice: Very Expensive• French• Downtown•4.7
- DDonaldvipWinnipeg / Manitoba •90 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoWhen in Vancouver, a visit to Hawksworth is always in order. I decided to try the seasonal tasting menu. The selection looked impressive on the menu. It exceeded my expectations as I savored each bite. Thoughtful wine pairings complemented each course. Top marks for service and presentation. The sea bass, duck, and sunchoke ice cream were stellar. For the price, such fare is great value. The attentive service only contributed to the experience. I highly recommend Hawksworth.More infoHawksworth RestaurantPrice: Very Expensive• Canadian• Yaletown•4.7

- LLenVancouver / British Columbia •1 review5.0Dined 7 days agoHad the best experience last night! Arrived to our table set with bubbles and a birthday card for my friend and had a lovely host seat us. Our server Asad was so fun, attentive, and friendly! He also gave us great recommendations. The AGM Caelan was also amazing! He was very hospitable and brought in a welcoming energy. The bar manager Colton made amazing drinks and brought in the most energetic and fun vibe! Overall, the service was impeccable and the atmosphere was out of this world. + try the banana cream pie (the best pie I’ve ever tried - please keep it on the menu)More infoEarls Kitchen + Bar - Test Kitchen - VancouverPrice: Expensive• American• Downtown•4.7
