Since I was 13 years old, I've been in the restaurant industry. I started in my grandfather’s restaurant & worked my way up to running one of the most successful restaurants in NYC - Patsy’s Italian Restaurant. My grandfather worked his way up in the restaurant industry in the 1930's and '40s and in 1942 opened his first Italian restaurant, The Sorrento. When it came time to name our new restaurant, we decided on IL Sorrento in honor of my grandfather. I know my grandparents & my mom are smiling down on us with approval. I've lived in Westchester since 1984 & have always dreamed about opening an Italian restaurant here .. now the dream is a reality.     This was the first time having pistachio flavored pasta (rigatoni in my case) and I was awesome. It was cooked with fennel and was absolutely delicious. My wife had the duck liver cannolli and she loved it as well. The service was excellent and attentive. Could not have had a better dining experience close to home!
