Restaurants near Locust Creek Covered Bridge

This was our first dinner here and everything from the maître D who seated us, to our awesome waitress and bartender, to the food, was fabulous! The restaurant is gorgeous, and the food was absolutely delicious! The bartender made both of our drinks perfectly, and my husband is a stickler for how he likes his Old-fashioned! If we weren’t having family join us the next few nights, I’d be back in here every evening!

We absolutely enjoyed our dinner at the Jefferson. The service, with Alex, was excellent. I loved the scallops and shrimp entree and my husband enjoyed the French onion soup and duck. The highlight for me, who can’t have gluten, was the gluten-free roll…divine!! 🥰

Our server Fernando was fantastic! All of the food was also amazing. We were happy we went with the Prix Fixe menu, which was well worth the price. Our daughter was especially excited at the amazing Smores dessert at the end of the evening.

We were visiting The Homestead with friends and wanted to venture out to experience something off property. Two restaurants were mentioned of particular note with The Tavern being the one we chose. Great choices and options on the menu, excellent bar selection, great ambience of old courthouse building, service was friendly and attentive and the food was so delicious!! We had the Goulash and Chicken Schnitzel, along with Gnocchi and Smazak as apps. We highly recommend and look forward to visiting again!

The Varsity Club gave us a great meal in terms of food. The She Crab Soup was good and full of crab. The Schoolhouse Salad was a great salad. We had the pork chop and trout. Both were excellent. The only negative was the service. I’m pretty sure there was only one server for the entire restaurant and the dining room was about 80% full. There were definitely some assistants, but only one woman was taking orders, etc. we waited 27 minutes before our order was taken. Food was great. But there need to be several more servers.
