Abacá is an airy, atelier-style restaurant with a cool outdoor terrace, whipping up Filipino-Californian cuisine with flair in Fisherman's Wharf. It's the bricks-and-mortar spin off of chef Francis Ang's pop-up Pinoy Heritage. The lively menu is split up into barbecue sticks, noodles and rice, and small to big plates, but its far more nuanced than just that. Smoked Bay scallops lead in the seafood pancit, heirloom tomatoes top homemade tinapay bread, chicken skin is glazed in an adobe before hitting the grill and guinea fowl comes slathered with peanut sauce. The crab chicory salad was so fresh liked they just pucked the ingredients. The veal osso bucco was so tender it was like it melted in ur mouth. Excellent quality as usual , we sat outside x’mas eve nite and it was like private dining though the inside was fully booked. Our fav restaurant in SF

Our dinner was delicious! The ambience and interiors lovely! Service was friendly, quick and informative. We ordered 5 dishes and loved them all. If I was pressed for an improvement it would be to for the piaya to be a slightly larger portion. We had a great time and will definitely return!!!
