- KKeithDenver / Colorado •1 review4.0Dined todaySixth visit to the Steakhouse at Flying Horse, first time visiting on a Holiday (New Years Day). Party of four with shared sides. The Potatoes Au Gratin recipe has changed and the portion size has diminished significantly. This side was very overcooked and the cheese on top so overdone, it could barely be cut with a steak knife. The bottom of the side dish was also burnt to the cast iron dish, so much so that most of the food could not be removed. The Ribeye was very evenly cooked as ordered in spite of the fact that the center of the cut showed no browning, grill marks or charred exterior. First 22oz Ribeye I've had that wasn't at least as thick as the rib it came with and noticeably thinner than the other served at our table. Kudos to our our server Michael who was exceptional in every way. We were celebrating two December Birthdays which Flying Horse made memorable, just not in the way I had hoped.More infoSteakhouse at Flying HorsePrice: Very Expensive• Steakhouse• Colorado Springs•4.6
- FFrederickVIPDenver / Colorado •11 reviews5.0Dined 7 days agoWe had a wonderful lunch the day after Christmas. Had the French Onion Dip appetizer, Reuben, Fall Crunch Salad, portobello burger, and GOG Burger, and raspberry sorbet for dessert (various diners). All items were served hot and fresh and everyone loved their food. Compared to other fine dining venues, the prices are similar, so the incomparable views and ambience are essentially free. That makes the Grand View Dining room a bargain for a special meal. Highly recommend.More infoGrand View Restaurant at the Garden of the Gods Resort & ClubPrice: Expensive• American• Colorado Springs•4.7
- JJoshChicago / Illinois •5 reviews5.0Dined on 25 Dec 2024We came for Christmas dinner to do something different. We had a prefix five course meal. The food and service were spot on. They served charcuterie as course two after a truffle devils egg that was divine. They were only open for two weeks so people were still training so there a few kinks to be worked out but that’s to be expected. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The view is spectacular. If you’re eating I wouldn’t want to sit in the middle chairs and lean over on to a coffee table which they tried to seat us.More infoThe Aviator at Hotel PolarisPrice: Moderate• American• Palmer Lake•4.6
