Restaurants near Marinship

Excellent place to visit for special occasions and dates. SF skyline with the view of the bay was amazing. Food was great and service was amazing.

Our meal at Poggio was wonderful. One thing I would recommend is adding an outside option to the reservation, if people will be sitting outside. We were sat outside, and this wasn’t presented as an option when I made the reservation - if it was, I wouldn’t have selected it. This was a bit frustrating, and we did wait 15 minutes to be greeted at our table. Thankfully, our server totally made up for the lack of professionalism. Mike was excellent. He had great recommendations, and was incredibly attentive during our meal. The food was truly some of the best food we have ever eaten. I got the crab pasta, and my friend got the spinach pillow pasta with the beef ragu sauce. Both were delicious, with very deep flavor profiles. We got the lemon meringue and chocolate cake dessert. Overall, the food was incredible. I would absolutely come back, but I would request to be inside and hope for Mike to be our server again!

It was amazing manager came out and  great recommendations, which I’m glad I listened to him… also gave us his business card and said he would take care of us next time overall I’ll leave my top five sushi places I’ve been to. Great quality as well.

The entire evening was perfect. The food was phenomenal, the service professional and friendly, the environment stellar. We had the NY Steak and the tortellini and both were immaculate. The wine selection was great (I myself had a hard cider). The outdoor seating was complemented by hearing units and the views spectacular. Soft jazz music accompanied the dinner and was not loud or intrusive. Most definitely will be returning! Many thanks to our server Manuel who helped make a Valentine's dinner extra special!

We ordered from the Light Lunch menu, the half an avocado with a HUGE portion of tiny Bay shrimp, and lettuce, of course, and mini yellow tomatoes, plus a generous container of Thousand Island dressing! Also the “cup” of clam chowder was a perfect accompaniment!
