Excellent service. Nice atmosphere. Food was good.

Decorated beautifully for Christmas. Service was attentive and polite. Food portions were generous and delicious. Ordered veggie burger (loved the mushrooms and avocado on it), lamb shanks (2 shanks with mashed potatoes and veggies - yum), lasagna (perfection) with minestrone soup - yum), and blacked chicken (dry). Black Forest cake (delicious, not too sweet just right).

From the moment we walked through the door, we were greeted by a professionalism that was top notch! We were taken to a cozy booth, and our waiter came over immediately to greet us and take care of us. He was informative and helpful. He knew and had tasted all the food we ordered, and in my mind, that demonstrates the restaurant has the intent to provide service beyond the norm. He was efficient and friendly! Our drinks were delicious, and the food was wonderful. I'd advise ordering the house salad. It is the best I've ever had, with a mix of greens, nuts and a delicious cheese. The dressing was an unusual vinaigrette, just perfection! I will order it every time I go! I had the short ribs and my husband had lamb shanks. He ate every single bite! We were too full for dessert, but they all looked great. There is a nice balance of food offerings, and wines by the glass as well. I highly recommend this restaurant which has recently been remodeled. It's elegant and festive.

Such a great restaurant. We were there early (long story), but were seated anyway. Monterey had just experienced a huge rainstorm and power outage (although Fisherman's Wharf seems to have gotten its power back sooner than the neighboring area). The servers and staff were unbothered and waitstaff was prompt, cordial, and friendly. Plus the food was great! you can't go wrong with seafood in Monterey. But this was a notch up.

Jack's has a beautiful setting, service was excellent and the food was delicious! Very reasonably priced, as well.
