Walk-in's always welcome! Screen Door is a restaurant that presents itself as a love letter to the American South and the revival of regional cooking. Each day, the restaurant receives natural, local organic meats and produce from nearby vendors. This is my favorite place to eat at anytime we are in Portland! I love the atmosphere of the pearl district location! We come here very often and always can’t wait to go back. My favorite is their chicken and dumplings. It’s so flavorful and warms your soul. My husband’s favorite is the chicken and waffles, so much flavor in the chicken and with a sweet potato waffle it just comes together so well. You won’t regret eating here!

We celebrated our grandson‘s 18th birthday and his high school graduation all in one. He ordered his favorite: the cowboy steak with a nice Caesar salad, which he also devoured completely. We enjoyed salads, the creamed spinach, the Osso Bucco ravioli, and the 11 ounce fillet &lobster dinner. The foil “ Happy Birthday” messages decorating the table were a very nice touch. Thanks for delivering the whole package!
