Founded in 1934 while the country was in the throes of the Great Depression and just one year removed from the repeal of prohibition, Jimmy Kelly made a promise to himself and his diners. Simply put, he would serve a great steak, a generous portion of whiskey and insure the service was always attentive. Making good on that promise has been the cornerstone of the restaurant’s success and enabled it to survive and flourish. Now over 80 years later and operated by the third generation of Kellys, it has earned a reputation as one of the grand old restaurants not only in Nashville but the entire southeast.     Party of dined on 11-19-24. Was beautiful and cozy atmosphere with friendly host staff and seated promptly. Ordered shortrib potstickers which were very overcooked and had to return. Reordered them a second time and the manager (Gabby) immediately came to table and said she would personally oversee the chef prepare this time. They came back perfectly cooked and tasted amazing. We ordered scallops and rotisserie chicken and both were delicious. Gabby comped us two glasses of bubbly and was very gracious. Definitely going to go back with a larger party next time. Well done and great experience.

    My husband and I did a date night and had been wanting to try The Hampton Social. The ambience was very quaint, seating was intimate. Loved all the chairs and couches that served as seating, very classy. Ordered drinks, an appetizer, main entree and dessert, all were great! Service was good as well. Would definitely recommend!

    The special of the Tomahawk steak was excellent. What a great place to enjoy good food and quiet enough for conversation. Put this on your "got to go" list. You won't be disappointed.
