La Taverne at The Broadmoor Hotel is great for an upscale but casual evening out. We celebrated our anniversary there, and it was a special evening. There was a singer/guitarist entertaining guests with Christmas music at just the right volume. The entree selection was varied, and the food was very good. I would say it was not exceptional, but definitely very good. The service, though, was truly exceptional. Highly recommend for an overall lovely experience. Be sure to stroll through the hotel and grounds before or after, especially during the Christmas season.

Everytime feels like my first time. Peppertree has an exceptional staff, that does an amazing job waiting and serving. From the time you come in until the time you sit down, they will make sure your needs are met. Our out of town guest, loved his meal and can’t wait to come back again. Thank you Peppertree for such a great night!

On our anniversary, we each ordered the tenderloin dinners. Both were excellent. Top quality meat and sauces were excellent also. Would recommend either one. First time ordering steak, usually have some kind of pasta. It really is the best Italian in the state.

We enjoyed the atmosphere, the romantic lighting, the music playing, and the smaller scale of the dining area which gave it a very peaceful vibe. The service from Carlos and all the staff is great, so friendly and ready to accommodate anything you need. You can tell they really care about your experience while dining. The food was delicious and they had an impressive variety of specials to choose from along with a nice menu to choose from. We brought our 6 year old with us and they happily offered to prepare kid friendly options for him. The Pinot noir I ordered was really good too.
