Restaurants near Motel 6 Newport Beach

I flew in from Arcata for dinner reservations for Valentine with the Mrs. We are staying at the Westin next door. Easy walk to WG. The hostess was amazing, we were seated within 5 min of our rezo and near the Jazz musician. Our waiter was Brandon, amazing experience! We had spent Valentines 2024 WG at oyster bar. This evening rather than order off the menu we wanted to try the 4 course. I don’t have a lot of experience in fine dining and 4 courses with wine pairing. Brandon was very helpful with sharing how the menu would be served this evening. The Mrs she’s used to fine dining but for an island boy from Samoa it was a new experience for me. Amazing experience and for those who may have not experienced fine dining 4 course with wine pairing just ask the your wait person for help. I’m never afraid to ask if I do not know. The fork thing, the many utensils, the different glasses, etc 😂 Definitely will plan a dinner outing for the entire family, 12 total, this summer when I’m back in town. It’s magical from the moment you walk in. As you make your way up a gorgeous staircase displaying gilded frames & Grecian statues…. The aesthetic & beautiful RH furniture is definitely a show stopper. As you make your way to the top you are greeted with sweet hostesses and wine bars on either side of you. Food is amazing! We had artichoke & burrata appetizers. So delicious! I always order a cheeseburger, it’s so good! Their salads & rotisserie chicken are yum! Finished the night with the Bananas Foster dessert, it was outstanding!!

I made reservations. I chose this restaurant because none of my guests had eaten here before and to celebrate a friend's 91st birthday. for a friend. When I made the reservations I requested a table overlooking the nursery. There was no wait when we arrived. They accommodated us with a table I requested. The overall service was excellent. The waitress, Becca was pleasant, knowledgeable about the menu, and very attentive. She came back several times during our lunch to make sure everything was okay and to see if we needed anything. Everyone raved about the food. Three or us ordered the tuna sandwich and one ordered the burger. It was all excellent. Remembering we were there to celebrate a birthday, Becca brought out a complimentary dessert with a candle. The whole experience for me and my guests couldn't have been better. We will definitely be returning and bringing more friends.

"Nick's" is one of our 'Go to' restaurants, which includes: Carlsbad, San Clemente, Laguna Beach, and now, their latest restaurant, which recently opened in Newport Beach. We live in Corona Del Mar, so it's close to home. And a "Shout out" to Ryan, their new Manager!

Ambience was great (we sat on the patio, there were heaters and a fire pit), our server Jenny was delightful, and the food, both presentation and taste, was wonderful! (We had the truffle fries, steak & tuna sushi, and the molton lava cake.) The patio wasn’t very busy, as it was a Monday night. Everything was top notch, right down to the glass of champagne when we arrived! Love that! We’ll definitely come back again!
