Casadonna is a Coastal Italian-inspired waterfront restaurant developed in partnership between Groot Hospitality and Tao Group Hospitality. It is housed in the same Mediterranean revival building as Miami’s historic Women’s Club, located in the city’s burgeoning Edgewater neighborhood. In fact, the name “Casadonna” is derived from the setting—it is a fusion of Italian words translating to “house of the woman.”Riviera-style Italian cooking serves as the heart of Casadonna’s cuisine.     This was my first time trying out this restaurant. We wanted to eat a nice restaurant before the show, and were planning to eat somewhere near Brickell. I’m so glad we ate here instead. The service was amazing and the food was great. It was also nice not to have to worry about driving to a different location since the restaurant is connected to the theater. I encourage anyone who is skeptical to try it out. You won’t be disappointed.

    We went here for the Miami Spice menu, and the food was absolutely phenomenal. We had the goat cheese and artichoke croquettes, and they were delicious. I also had the bibb salad, which was beautiful and fresh, and my fiancé had the pork belly that he loved. For our entree, we had the 1/2 chicken and the crispy salmon, which were both delectable. The roasted cauliflower purée from my dish was especially scrumptious. Finally, we each had the passion fruit cheesecake and the chocolate ganache, which were both out of this world. Our server Frank was also great. Very attentive, knowledgeable, and on top of it. We will definitely be coming back!
