Since 1746, the building that houses this tavern has played a part in the establishment of our nation; first as a respite for stagecoach travelers expanding westward and later as a covert rendezvous point for George Washington, Marquis de Lafayette, and other leaders of the American revolution. It is believed that during the infamous winter of 1777–1778 at Valley Forge, a major figure in the Continental Army, master military mind Friedrich Von Steuben, designated the tavern as a secret black powder munitions stash for Continental Army couriers. All the while, the tavern continued to provide food, shelter and cheer to the hungry, weary soldiers fighting for their independence. Today, we honor our historic tavern’s tradition with a mission to raise the spirits of our guests.     M&M is fantastic all around. I’ve been there many times for lunch but this was the first time for dinner and service was stellar, attentive, helpful, and food came out quick and in a nice cadence. We ordered everything from the dim sum menu and got a little of everything, scallion pancakes were nice and crispy, a variety of dumplings, shumai, noodles, and more! Honestly enjoyed everything but will notably mention the Peking Duck Sandwiches (in steamed buns, the sticky rice lotus leaf wrap, and the pork soup dumplings! All the sauces were on point and both hot and cold teas were enjoyed by all. Staff was wonderful, can’t wait to come back again for dinner. Thanks M&M!

    Our bartender and waitress Madison was a joy. Our dinner choices were fantastic and the drinks she made were incredible. She made the best espresso martini ever. This is my new favorite place. Please bring back the deviled eggs
