Restaurants near Parker's Battery

The food was amazing! But our server, Aiden was even better. He turned out birthday celebration into so much fun just by being himself!!!

Our server was definitely “moving us along” trying to turn over our table. But otherwise everything was amazing as always!!!!

This was our first visit to The Tobacco Company Restaurant, my husband and I, as we were in town for a show. I must say, it exceeded my expectations. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by a friendly hostess and quickly seated. The architecture and interior design of the building were captivating, especially from our wonderful spot on the second-floor balcony. Our waitress, Savannah, was incredibly sweet and attentive throughout our meal. I ordered the seabass, while my husband chose the scallops. For dessert, we shared a slice of cheesecake. Everything was absolutely superb!

We were married on January 17th, in a quiet casual civil ceremony. We chose Bookbinder's for dinner. We were treated with respect, given a celebratory drink, and the owner stopped by to chat. Everyone was wonderful, and our waiter was friendly and super efficient. We always enjoy the food here; this is the one place outside of New England that I'll order lobster. If you are looking for a class act in dining, this is it; high touch, but friendly and approachable, impeccable service, and quality food.

We have been to the Boathouse at City Point many times. This visit was for a birthday celebration and it was not the best experience . The Spicy Mussels had 4 that did not open, therefore inedible. The Fried Shrimp dinner reflected overcooked shrimp. The Salmon dinner and the salad were good. Service was good, not great. We had to park down the hill and walk up an ice covered street and the same to get back down. A better job of cleaning the hill would have been in order. All in all we were disappointed with this visit. We will try again around Valentine’s Day for better food and less treacherous hiking weather.
