- AAshleighGreater Boston •2 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoArtisan was an absolutely phenomenal experience! The vibe, the staff, and -- above all -- the FOOD!! Every thing we ordered was absolutely delicious and our server gave us a ton of guidance and everything he said to describe the dishes was completely spot on. The staff had a bottle of the Bianchi cabernet decanted for us when we arrived and we were able to use the private dining space to celebrate a bachelorette party. I also want to commend the entire staff for their allergy/food restriction conscientiousness! They asked up front about whether anyone in our party had restrictions and made sure to verify again when we were ordering. This was particularly impressive because one member of our party has a medical keto diet and the chef went so far as to prepare a specific amuse-bouche for our party that she was able to eat. Could not rate this experience highly enough.More infoArtisan - Traverse CityPrice: Expensive• American• Traverse City•4.7
- EElizabethGrand Rapids / Western Michigan •2 reviews5.0Dined on 11 Jan 2025We had not been to Funistrada since it went under new ownership. The wine and cocktail offerings were well-curated. The menu had so many delicious offerings. We both selected pasta dishes and they were amazing. Our server, Jody, was helpful and knowledgeable. As we left, every staff member including the bar tender wished us a good evening! We will be back.More infoTrattoria FunistradaPrice: Expensive• Italian• Glen Arbor / Maple City•4.8

- SSharonNorthern Michigan / Upper Peninsula •1 review5.0Dined on 1 Jan 2025Everything was very good. The Tomahawk steak is not worth $170. The butternut squash puree that can with my scallops was a tablespoon total, or less, which was also a bit disappointing. Overall, a great experience. Highly recommend and will go again.More infoAerie Restaurant & LoungePrice: Very Expensive• American• Acme•4.2
- DDavidVIPNorthern Michigan / Upper Peninsula •62 reviews5.0Dined on 4 Dec 2024It's a teaching restaurant, so allow 1 ½ hrs for lunch and more for dinner. Classic choices such as the beef bourguignon entree and the soup of Shredded Chicken with fennel and a hint of star anise were very good. No time today to linger for deserts which are superb. Pastry Chef Megan is a pro. Merrill at the bar always has a fun delicious special drink, plus the standard classic cocktails. It's nice to see they now offer a better range of Non-area wines , as well as local wines to please visitors. Wine choices are 8 or so of both whites and reds. Best view of the bay, even on a very snowy day. Beautiful setting.More infoGreat Lakes Culinary InstitutePrice: Moderate• Contemporary American• Traverse City•4.8
