- JJeannettevipHawaii •9 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoAs you eat a meal at Merriman's, you can tell that each ingredient is selected with care. Sure enough, when I asked I found out the food is locally sourced from farms that the owners and Chef know and trust. Many items are hand selected by the box, not the truck load. Since the Chef from Maui transferred over to Merriman's Oʻahu, our entrees have been especially ono. At lunch today I planned to take home one of my two fish (ahi) tacos. No way! I couldn't stop finishing both. Last night my husband and I walked into Merriman's without reservations and sat at the bar. Who cares if we didn't get a table? The gregarious host, Cody Merriman, stopped by to share a laugh or two and answer our questions about the menu. My husband ordered their chicken entree for dinner and said it was the best chicken he'd ever had. And my taro falafel was also delicious. We can't resist their Waialua Chocolate Purse for dessert. I felt a little decadent afterward, but what the heck? There are lots of restaurants in our neighborhood, but for five years now we keep coming back to Merriman's which seems to be even better the last six months. Could it be the addition of the Maui Chef? We like the vibe. Energetic without being so loud you cannot carry on a conversation. We both think their Hawaiian music playlist is the best in the City. Wish I could think of something negative to say to make this review real. But having just come back from a great lunch with memories of a wonderful dinner there last night, I am only happy and satisfied.More infoMerriman's HonoluluPrice: Expensive• Hawaii Regional Cuisine• Honolulu•4.8

- AAddisonHawaii •3 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoOverjoyed to see Podmore resume brunch service. Brunch menu is a tad smaller to keep things manageable but quality is still excellent. 1-2 brunch specials rotating through would definitely be something I'd look forward to if offered. For townside locations I think it's hard to beat Podmore as a Sat/Sun brunch spot.More infoPodmorePrice: Expensive• Comfort Food• Honolulu•4.7

In addition to the main bar area, where customers can watch the staff prepare their drinks, there's also a hidden speakeasy section that pays homage to city's past. The knowledgeable bar staff are friendly and welcoming, and they're happy to help customers understand the choices and make recommendations. Yours Truly has become a can't-miss stop for cocktail lovers in Honolulu.More infoYours TrulyPrice: Moderate• Cocktail Bar• Downtown•4.8
- CCeliaSan Francisco Bay Area •6 reviews5.0Dined on 13 Nov 2024A nice surprise excellent food in a hotel restaurant. All staff members were very attentive and friendly as they wanted to make sure we had a positive dining experience. Our server Ken was excellent in giving us food and alcohol recommendations. Her periodically checked in with us to see if we needed anything. The restaurant has dry nice atmosphere and decor was trendy and comfortable. My friend and I chose items from the “restaurant week” specials, pasta bolognese and classic Cesar salad. Both very flavorful and the salad was fresh and crisp. The Sauvignon Blanc (Andis) was an excellent pairing with the meal, not sweet, but even balanced. I had their Prosecco (Zarin) which tasted as a lower quality Prosecco, but their Sauvignon Blanc made up for it. I highly recommend this restaurant and plan to go again as their regular menu offers a variety of food that would please all palates.More infoThe Dotted LinePrice: Expensive• Global, International• Downtown•4.5
