Worldly influenced American cuisine focusing on farm to table and self sustainable practices by 2 highly qualified chefs preparing everything on premise from soups, breads and icecreams to pastas, sorbets and sauces using the highest quality ingredients seasonably available.Roger J. Foster a graduate of The Culinary Institute of America and Charles E. Wilburn a graduate of Johnson & Wales University both chefs are well versed in their customers special dietary needs. Rogers green thumb and ambitions in the garden produce a number of different ingredients including lettuces, squash, beans, berries, apples, plums and tomatoes. Both chefs assist each other with the raising of their laying hens, meat chickens and turkeys ( NON GMO fed ) as well as tending to the restaurant's honey bees. The majority of the beef, lamb, pork and chicken used is locally sourced and pasture raised. we also focus on natural wild caught seafoods, and use NON GMO oils in preparation.

Originally known as Phoebe's Garden Café, the restaurant has a long and colorful history in Syracuse. Local lore claims that the building was originally a brothel, and Phoebe was its madam. In the summer of 2004, Phoebe's experienced a refreshing makeover with a bright new look in the atrium dining room with fresh paint, new upholstery, and artwork. The coffee lounge also opened that year, and it became an instant hit with the surrounding university and business crowd. Those changes also warranted a new name to reflect the updated attitude and ambiance: Phoebe's Restaurant and Coffee Lounge. Classic elements of Phoebe's remain untouched—the French onion soup and enticing crème brulee, for example, but other menu items change seasonally. The Lounge also has its own seating area and free wireless internet capabilities. Phoebe's old world charm is right at home in a revitalized area of the city.

My husband and our close friends enjoyed easily one of the best dinner experiences we’ve ever had at a restaurant last night. We chose Lam for our annual Christmas dinner and we were not disappointed. The service was excellent. All four of us raves about our dinners. I had the limoncello chicken. I would order it again and again. The men both had the short rib dish and devoured it! The pistachio cheesecake was out of this world! The decor was magical and the owner was the sweetest! Even with all the dining choices Syracuse has to offer, we would return to LM as our first choice.

The amuse-bouche was delicious: a squash puree, with cranberries, and a wonderful crumble -- could be an appetizer! Shrimp Cocktail is superb -- very large shrimp; good cocktail sauce. Caesar Salad tonight was very good: dark green lettuce, very good dressing, nice bread accompaniment. Spouse's crab cake was appropriately prepared and tasty. My bone-in rib-eye was very good. Ordered it medium-rare -- was just on the border, more approaching medium. The Buttered Mashed Potatoes side we had was delicious BUT for the size (small ramekin), the price $16.00, is outrageous!! It wasn't busy, so the noise level was not an issue.
