- LLydiaCalifornia Central Coast •7 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoWhile visiting Miami with my husband and daughter, I wanted to show them this building which was once a cool but rundown apartment building known as the Amsterdam in the 1980s, when I lived there - before Gianni Versace bought it and turned it into his home. It took me back in time as the entry and lobby is still very much the same, and the walkway to the dining area, which was approx where the door to apt 106 once was. Being there brought back some great memories. The dining area was once another building which GV knocked down to make room for his patio and pool, behind which stands a beautiful, somewhat ostentatious, mosaic tiled wall which fortunately did not cross the line into gaudiness.More infoGianni's at the Former Versace MansionPrice: Expensive• Italian• South Beach•4.5

- TTheresaAtlanta Metro •1 review5.0Dined 4 days agoTotally SEXY VIBE. Around 7:00pm is absolutely packed and you can barely move around. After 9:00 you can finally have an audible conversation. Amazing fire dancing entertainment. Visually stimulating in every way. Aesthetically pleasing. Very expensive. AMAZING SERVICE. DELICIOUS FOOD. - SSHANNONVIPMiami - Dade •57 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoWhat a cool place! I highly recommend making a reservation because it was very full even on a Tuesday night. Their birthday package was very nice, and the food was truly incredible. The whole place had a very lively vibe, and was beautifully decorated for the holidays. The parking situation is a little challenging, but at least the valet was free. I would definitely go back to celebrate other events. It seems great for a company party, as well. - FFredMiami - Dade •1 review5.0Dined on 14 Dec 2024It was my first time visiting Platea (Pinecrest, FL) and we had a great experience. Our server Adan was friendly and professional. I ordered the 32 oz Tomahawk Rib Eye, which had a different taste than your typical rib eye. The seasoning used is Peruvian-inspired and was tasty. I shared it with my wife because it was a good-sized portion. We also liked the truffle fries. They were light and crispy with that unmistakable truffle taste. For dessert, we had the chocolate ganache cake which was ok but we liked "The Garden" which is a cheese cake-inspired dessert. Its creamy and not too sweet and surprisingly they add micro greens (arugula) which gives it an even better taste. I highly recommend this place.
