The Harwood Arms re-opened in September 2008 after some much needed refurbishment. This rural haven in the middle of Fulham is a collaboration between Brett Graham of the famed Ledbury restaurant, Mike Robinson of the acclaimed Pot Kiln pub in rural Berkshire and Edwin Vaux from the famous Vaux brewery. The idea is to provide Londoners with a really relaxed venue for eating the finest British produce, cooked amazingly well, accompanied by excellent beer and wine at a great price.

'The Crabtree, with its spectacular position downstream from The River Cafe,has a huge sprawling garden, a glazed colonnade and frontage on to theThames shaded by a weeping willow. The prawns in chilli hot oil and the toastspread with tomatoes and onions were good, so much so we ordered themagain when we returned for Sunday lunch.     Great seafood restaurant that really knows how to prepare shellfish. Service was excellent and only slightly marred by a side disk being forgotten but when pointed out was rapidly rectified and removed from the bill. Thanks for a great meal.

    The food was delicious and the portions were generous. The traditional fish and chips and the classic shepherd’s pie were mouthwateringly tasty. For dessert, we had the Ivy chocolate bombe to share paired with some Earl Grey tea which was delightful and rich. Overall, the service was slightly slow but the waitress Rhea was pleasant and personable on approach. Thank you for another lovely experience!

    We had a fantastic roast dinner! Their sharing style roast boards are an absolute feast with everything beautifully prepared. I particularly enjoyed the deer shoulder. The wines on offer are also delicious and well priced.

    Enjoyed our dinner. Attentive service. Great gourmet pizza ( Southern Italy) and fresh salad (goat cheese/pear, rocket/balsamic vinegar and walnut). Although we miss the personalized attention we received from Marco, the original owner/manager and servers of the former owners 😕.
