Restaurants near Riverland Holiday Cottage

I was on my own for lunch but wanted to experience Trentham given a number of recommendations. I did a wine taster first as I wanted to buy some wine - there was a complementary wine tasting with 5 choices and help from the sommelier. That was a nice start to lunch but I did not have my planned glass of wine given the tasting and I was driving afterwards. Setting on the river is lovely. I planned to have a starter and pasta pescatore main but decided to have the Reef and Beef and no starter - the steak and seafood in the rich and creamy potato mash with vegetables was very tasty - maybe on the pricy side but worth it. I decided to order fries as well which was indulgent but wonderful chips - large serving with sea salt which unfortunately I couldn’t finish but really gave a nice finesse to the meal for me personally. Fries came with delicious aoli and tomato sauce. I indulged again with a delightful pancetta and coconut (two of my favourite things) and a granadilla coulis and cream (more of my favourite things). The flat white coffee was outstanding. Service and staff were terrific - definitely a fine dining experience in the region. Looking forward to going back to Trentham with family and friends. A must do experience for tourists not on a budget. Also, the Trentham wines are really world class but priced well although no discounts at the cellar door. Highly recommended.

Great Food, Excellent Service, Very accommodating.

A night out and meal was a very good experience @ Verde , (this is the second such experience in three weeks with unexpected guests, making it an enjoyable evening.

Meal was absolutely amazing, the nicest we have had in a long time ( wished we lived closer) customer service was fantastic, and the wait time was very quick

Upmarket, trendy, pub feel. As nice as the ambiance was, the food was the show stealer! My wife's fish and chips was beautifully cooked; the batter was crisp and light. The chips, perfectly cooked inside and out. I had a chicken burger. Succulent thigh fillet with a batter to make the Colonel envious. The home brewed lager was OK, but no match for the food. A lovely evening out.
