Welcome to The Red Lion Bishopgate!On the banks of the River Wensum and a stone's throw from Norwich Cathedral. We serve fresh, locally sourced food all day, everyday. Our head chef Tom has created a menu suitable for everyone, including gluten free, vegan and vegetarian options. We serve a delicious Sunday roast every weekend.Brunch is also available every weekend 10:00am-12 noon (11:30am on Sundays). Please see below our food serving times:Monday - Thursday: 12:00-20:00Friday & Saturday: 12:00-21:00Sunday: 12:00-19:00 with a choice of roasts and bar classics.We always leave some tables free, so if you can't make a booking just pop in to see if you can grab a table!     Very lovely staff, service, food & drink. We had a meal for my birthday and I really enjoyed it. Only issue (which couldn’t really be helped) was it was a little noisy as people using the pub to drink were sat directly behind us! There was a lot of shouting but the staff did their best to communicate to this group that they were disturbing us. However we will definitely return both to eat and drink as we have done in the past as it’s a lovely place (despite this one off problem) !

    Been here for dinner a few times now, always impressed with the friendly and welcoming service. The food is amazing and well presented. The atmosphere is very nice and relaxing. The roast dinner is definitely something to try. Well worth the visit!

    Had a fantastic birthday meal with my family this evening. Everyone was great from arrival to leaving. I'm sure one lady never goes home as she is always in when we eat during the day too. This was our first evening visit. Food was always hot and plentiful. Nothing was too much trouble. Thank you for my cake and the singing. I look forward to seeing you all again soon.

    Another fabulous afternoon at Pogues, first time for the Sunday roast which was delicious, looked after by friendly staff who kept the drinks flowing, perfect.
