As always, the Coast Guard House lived up to its excellent reputation for outstanding food, service, and friendliness. The menu options and wine choices are also excellent. Very highly recommended. It also happens to be a very historic building that was repurposed very appropriately into the excellent restaurant that it is and continues to be.

We ate at the bar. Nick, the bartender, was very accommodating! Such a pleasant person. He helped us decide what to order, was always there when we needed him, but never hovered over us. Such a wonderful person. His partner was very kind and accommodating also. We went for our anniversary and could not have asked for a more special evening. It was a night to remember.

Have to admit, 1st time back since Trio closed down and was glad to see a few familiar faces, Colleen of course and Aiden too. While we’ll never forget the Trio meatballs and the Bada Bing pizza, the new menu is great. The Celeste salad was incredible and the Spicy Calabrese pizza was superb, (great crust.) Aiden was our server and was very attentive without being intrusive and with his personality made our evening even better. The high top chairs are very comfortable and we loved what you did with the renovation! We will be back.

Great as always. We dine here often. The bar is great and always fun. Tonight was more of a date night and my wife just enjoyed being alone tonight. Food and wine was great. Service was great. Love the paintings and ambiance The fall special salad was very good. My Fluke was made well. Only regret was that we were too full for desert.

We hadn't been to Trattoria Romana in quite a few years, and having had a wonderful meal last night, wonder why. We don't usually go out to dinner - preferring lunch instead - but were in the area and decided to try the restaurant again. The ambience is great - we were seated in the room away from the bar, with wood paneling. Service was excellent, and the menu larger than any other Italian restaurant we've been to in Rhode Island. We tried an appetizer that was different from any we've had before - cheese wrapped in prosciutto, then sauteed, accompanied by salad greens, artichokes, peppers, and olives. Delizioso! We both opted for a seafood main course (though the pasta dishes all looked wonderful) and enjoyed the Shrimp Alio Olio as well as the Shrimp and Scallops in a tomato, cognac, and cream sauce. My husband and I rarely eat the pasta, but we sopped up every last bit with the delicious sauces. Bread was served, which is rare these days. The wine list and cocktail menu were substantial and we both found drinks that we enjoyed. Our entire meal was outstanding, and we'll definitely be back!
