Entering the Saloon, a family owned restaurant since it opened in 1967 is a bit like stepping into Philadelphia's past. Dark oak paneling, shiny brass and authentic local antiques create a warm congenial and casual atmosphere.     Went here with my partner and everything was outstanding. Had the Fettuccine Pescatore and it was fantastic, she had the Pappardelle Bolognese. The thing that stood out was how well the calamari was cooked. If overcooked it becomes rubbery and it was cooked absolutely perfectly, something I find most restaurants aren’t able to pull off. The sauce for the Fettuccinewas the perfect weight and consistency and the seafood was really fresh. She really enjoyed her Bolognese and I tried some as well. The sauce was great. The portions are also really large and the price is affordable. The service was great as well. 100% would recommend. The fresh bread was a nice touch. It’s a really cute place as well.

    We went for Valentine’s Day! The meal was great and though they were very busy the service was great. Drinks, small plates and main courses were all fantastic. I paid with a gift card and the checkout process was super easy. We’ll definitely be back!

    What an incredible restaurant. They have parking/valet options. Shoot out to Nick and Greg for taking care of the car. We got there early but they were able to seat us. They have high chairs for the little ones. Food is outstanding. Service is even better. Make sure you go, and go often.
