Jack Timmons grew up in Texas and has lived in Seattle for over three decades. In 2012, he attended BBQ Summer Camp at the Meat Sciences department of Texas A&M, then toured many historic barbecue temples of Central Texas. Returning to Seattle, he bought an offset smoker, imported some post oak, mesquite and hickory, and started the Seattle Brisket Experience.After more than a year of practicing the art of barbecue, and serving old-school, succulent smoked meats to thousands of Northwest BBQ fans at ‘BBQ Raves’, Jack opened his first restaurant in the South of Downtown (SoDo) area of Seattle – Jack’s BBQ in 2014.At our newest location on the border of Bellevue and Redmond, we serve authentic Central Texas Barbecue with Brisket, Ribs, Sausage and Chicken. Matt’s’ is our “go to” local restaurant for a great meal at a decent price. When we have out of town guests, we take them to Matt’s. Favorites include steamed clams, prime rib, rotisserie chicken, short rib stroganoff, and salmon. Also outstanding desserts. Yum! 😋

Great food, friendly staff and chef. Prices are a little steep, but expected for specialty dining and in a high rent location. Salmon sushi was excellent and the calamari steak was good as well.

This is a really fun place to come with family. We had between ages 10 in grandkids to oldest grandson in his 30s plus parents and grandma. Everyone has their favorites at BJs and of course a couple of the kids come just for pizzokies.
