The Captain Digby, a family friendly restaurant and bar which caters for all ages & occasions, with sea views overlooking Kingsgate Bay. We serve generously portioned fresh, home cooked food from our bar, restaurant & children's menu. Food is served from 12 noon each day, all day until late check our operating hours before arrival.Choose from our family dining area, close to our indoor play area or our cliff top restaurant with sea views. Alfresco dining is available with 40 benches overlooking the bay but these are non-reservable and work on a first come first served basis. Please note we can not guarantee window tables. We do not allow dogs inside our venue but they are welcome in our outside dining areas. Being so close to the shoreline we tend to have issues regarding internet connections and advise all customers also bring cash as an alternative payment.

Named after probably Broadstairs's most famous previous resident, The Charles Dickens pub and dining rooms in Broadstairs had a complete refurbishment and re opened in the summer of 2012. This is one of the largest pubs in Broadstairs, with the main bar downstairs and the dining room and bars upstairs commanding excellent views of Viking Bay. Booked for 3 Boxing Day lunch (2.30pm). Extremely busy on entering the restaurant area (upstairs) but the Staff were attentive & didn't stop "running around " for the 2.5 hrs we were there. Good food, generous portions, warm cosy environment. Good value for money & definitely glad we booked. Will definitely visit again when back home in Broadstairs.

A wonderful dining experience, the setting is absolutely gorgeous, the staff very attentive and the steak and fish of the day (stone fish) were cooked perfectly with lots of flavours. I also think it offers real value for money. We’d love to visit again.

What a fabulous addition to Broadstairs. Absolutely loved it. Food is plentiful and delicious. Service faultless and a lovely atmosphere. Definitely book though as it gets very busy.
