General Public is inspired by trying to imagine what an upscale English pub would be if it had the heart of an American brasserie (and was open 11 to 11). The service and ambiance was great. Notable dishes were the challah and fluke and fennel. The fries were perfectly crispy and the broccoli was very flavourful. However, the ribeye was average, it lacked flavour but cooked properly yo medium rare.

Pasta dishes were served 30 minutes late and were comped, but came out rushed and watery. Very disappointing given the reputation of the food. Service was lackadaisical. Won't return.

We were celebrating my friend’s birthday, which I noted on the reservation but they didn’t even offer a dessert, the service was good but the separate checks was awkward since I was paying for both our meals & had to correct them… Nice people & friendly atmosphere
