In 1959, Frank and Tina D'Ambrosio decided to start a new restaurant venture along with their "Paisans" Mario and Enza Volpe, after Frank had much success with his first restaurant, the original "Frankie, Johnnie, and Luigi Too! In Mountain View, CA. Named after a good friend of theirs, they opened the original "Giorgio's" in the Foxworthy Shopping Center in San Jose, CA. One year later, cousins Anthony and Louise Dambruoso, affectionately known to the family as "Sash and Lou", took control of the restaurant and ran it for the next eight years. Pictures and paintings of these folks still grace the walls of the establishment today. In 1968, Frank's four sons assumed control of the restaurant and still own and operate it to this day. In 1997 they opened a second location in Milpitas, CA, in 2023 another in Morgan Hill and now back in Mountain View, where they still offer the highest standard of quality food, service, and value to their customers. Great food, excellent and served hot. Imaginative tapas, very nice combo of fried and fresh. All nicely flavored. The squid ink risotto was excellent, good combo. The waiter was very accommodating with our group size. Interesting sangrias, would recommend. Too noisy for conversation!

Sending gratitude and well wishes to and for all the staff that worked so hard on this evening to make our wishes come true. Each of you that we interacted with made this an evening to remember and I hope you know how much your kind gestures, big and small were and are appreciated. -Including allowing us to stand in the way between staff and bar without so much as a grimace or hint of annoyance though it was not lost on me, how frustrating it must have been maneuvering martinis between us on such a busy evening!
