I go for the buffalo wangz!! As a Brooklyn-born Native New Yorker living in the UK, The Old Auctioneer is one of a scant few establishments in this country whose buffalo wings are the real thing... DEEE-LICIOUS!! Add to that a lovely vibe about the place; it's different sections of the restaurant and courtyard all offer a different ambiance, all pleasant and inviting. A great place to eat, meet and greet. The staff, from the man on the door to the servers and bar staff have always made feel welcome and appreciated. My special little big place in beautiful downtown Banbury.

Excellent food, friendly staff and a great atmosphere. As always, our most recent visit to The Red Lion was a great experience. The quality of food was excellent. Home made apple & parsnip soup, posh prawn cocktail and two plates of calves liver with bacon, bubble & squeak & tenderstem. All brilliant. Guest ale "Usual Suspects" really nice too. Don't delay, get down there today.

I had a great time there celebrating Valentine's Day with my girlfriend. We received a great reception from the friendly staff. A great job was done to make the place look stunning. We loved it there. We will definitely be going back.

Amazing 5⭐️service indeed. I was served by a young lady whom was so patience as I waited for my friend, (12h00)She kept on reassuring me that it’s okay to wait and I shouldn’t worry. (2 black ladies) She also made a comment that she didn’t know it was so relevant to me at the time. I lost my brother in December 2024, another one in 2023 totalling my lost siblings to 5! So, she said to me, ‘just relax and spend this time to enjoy yourself’ This was so profound as I had not gotten those simple words that yet meant so much to me. The Asian Floor manager was very attentive also. Thank you The Ivy Team.

Perfect. Incredible, tasty food that has been so well prepared. Generous portions. Friendly and efficient folk running the place. Always an absolute pleasure.
