Eight years ago, Maximo Bistrot started as a restaurant for the thinking and execution of dishes from a wide range of techniques with the best of local ingredients; a warmful place that communicated our love for food. The food was okay. They advertise the beef as wagyu, but it definitely did not taste as such. The redeeming qualities were definitely the ambiance, the view, and the drinks - all worth coming for. Just come with a full stomach for a nightcap overlooking the city!

Truly outstanding drinks with a terrific balance of flavors. Butter mushroom Old Fashioned for example had just a hint of maple syrup without being over sweet or cloying. Matcha martini had a hint of matcha that enhanced the base gin martini without overwhelming it. Bartenders were friendly, had a great sense of humor and engaging without being intrusive. Well worth the experience.
