Restaurants near The National Centre for Craft and Design

We enjoyed an excellent lunch of cottage pie and Doddington burger. Both dishes were accompanied by generous portions of kitchen garden vegetables/salad and were delicious. Glasses of Sangiovese were a very good match for the food. Too full to have a dessert, we opted for a coffee and mince pie. It is well worth reserving a table in the restaurant. Although there is inevitably some noise from the cafe below, this was not intrusive. Views of the lake and beyond to open countryside provide a very pleasant backdrop to any meal. Service was both friendly and efficient.

We were at Doddington Hall and the room we were in was large and well decorated with many lights and a large Christmas tree and welook out to a layer of genuine snow, it looked so Christmassy. We were well looked after and served with a super Cream Tea. It was delicious.

Food was exceptional. The staff were friendly and attentive. The homemade caramel vodka was amazing. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. OLÉ!!!

We visited Lawsons on Friday to celebrate my husbands birthday after many recommendations and were not disappointed. A good range of menu choices and excellent quality food. The service was fantastic and waiting staff were so good I can't single out one as they were all outstanding. I was expecting small portion sizes but I was wrong; they were generous and filling. Can't recommend Lawsons enough. A little gem in Lincoln. Thank you for a lovely lunch.
