Mini Loster Rolls with Caviar paired with a flute of Prosecco= Perfection. The venue- stunning. The most beautiful, outdoors indoors lunch experience in the Triangle. Expensive, yes. But worth the money if you’re in need of a high quality elegant lunch experience.

The Colossal shrimp appetizer was wonderful. The filet was done to perfection and the mashed Yukon potatoes was great as was asparagus. The bread was cut up in large pieces and served with tasty olive oil and a balsamic syrup. It was perfect. Dessert, an espresso crème brûlée was divine. Even the drinks were tasty! One of the owners came by to speak to us which is always nice. The waitress, Heaven, was fantastic. She paid us just the right amount of attentiveness without hovering, The only ‘disappointment’ I’d say was that the head chef meandered throughout the restaurant and spoke with guests but looked at our table(only 2 of us) and yet never approached our table as he had done with basically every other table. Thought that was kind of odd. But nevertheless I can’t wait to go back!!! Thrilled that Rocky Mount has this lovely restaurant with great food, great service and it’s open Mon- Sat. As always, the service that staff provide is above and beyond. I love to bring colleagues from abroad to experience this high quality, upscale spin on southern food. It really sets a high bar! Of course, we came in like a storm and too many people followed us from the office, and the staff (especially Olivia W) handled it with grace, kindness, and humor. The food is ALWAYS amazing. The presentation of the plates, the quality of ingredients, and the environment just make for an overall wonderful experience. I cannot recommend enough!

Today was my wife’s birthday and On the Square was the perfect place to celebrate with our friends. The food was excellent and Paige, our server, was excellent. She gave us excellent suggestions and was on point! Thanks for a wonderful evening.

An absolute gem. Staff was fabulous and the food scrumptious. Everything was hot and perfect presentation. Our waitress Rachel was on pointe and very professional. Looking forward to a return visit. What an enjoyable evening.
