The staff were an absolute delight—attentive, friendly, and passionate about their work. They were happy to make recommendations, explaining food combinations with detail and enthusiasm. Every interaction felt personal, adding an extra layer of warmth to my visit. The restaurant offered subtle touches of a French bistro, a cosy yet sophisticated charm. It's perfect for both intimate dinners and lively group get-togethers. It's not budget dining, but the quality of the food, impeccable service, and overall experience justify the cost. We have a lovely meal at the jolly fisherman. This was our second visit and the food, service and overall experience was as good as our first visit. Would highly recommend this restaurant.

We come to Whitling House often because of the wonderful food, service and value for money. It is just perfect

It was our first time and it did not disappoint. Staff were friendly and helpful and the food arrived promptly. I had beef and it was amazing! The filled Yorkshire pudding was an unexpected crowd pleaser on our table! We’ve already booked a table for next week and I’ll be happy to work my way through the deserts menu!

We had a fabulous meal celebrating recent birthdays! Our lovely waiter Tim was SO intuitive and knowledgeable…quietly super efficient! Our 2-course meal with Prosecco was absolutely the best! Can’t wait to return and try other dishes from the menu. Lovely midweek treat 🎉
