Restaurants near White River Golf Club

I can’t say enough wonderful things about this restaurant and this particular experience. Coming from Boston on our way up we hit more traffic than anticipated so we knew we were going to miss our reservation. The restaurant proactively called us and stayed open late to accommodate us. We told them our order and it was prepared while we were in route and they even made more food when we got there. Never once did we feel rushed. The drinks were excellent and the food was perfectly cooked. I am so grateful for this experience. This is why I always return to the Woodstock Inn and The Red Rooster.

A perfect place to eat delicious food, superb service with a quiet ambiance.

Libby, our server, was right over to our table, greeted us and took our beer order. The entire staff here is a 10. At just thr right moment Libby was back to take our food order. Mrs. B had the Fish Platter which comes with fries and Cole Slaw. I had the burger with chees which also comes with fries. It was cooked perfectly. Great service throughout the meal.

Roots is one of those rare establishments that is beyond modest and understated in everything until the food arrives. Amazing plating, creative dishes, fresh ingredients and just incredible. It’s been farm to today from inception without name dropping much or if at all. Have been a regular for years when in town to see family, and back in the day trusted with some special family events booth at restaurant and outside. Roots is an absolute foodie paradise but in most unpretentious setting. While I eat at plenty of restaurants annually all over North America roots is always one of favorite meals of the year of the year.

Great experience after a long day of skiing, drinks were fantastic and food choices were really good for what you'd expect at a distillery.
