Originally known as Phoebe's Garden Café, the restaurant has a long and colorful history in Syracuse. Local lore claims that the building was originally a brothel, and Phoebe was its madam. In the summer of 2004, Phoebe's experienced a refreshing makeover with a bright new look in the atrium dining room with fresh paint, new upholstery, and artwork. The food was outstanding and fresh. We have been to Sushi places in 50+ miles and this one is rated as equal to the best (one other!). I highly recommend it. Server was gracious and helpful - we put away 6 sushi rolls between my wife and I. We went for our wedding anniversary (33) and are very glad we did. - Not handicap accessible which was not a problem for us (yet!) but might be for others.
