This was the first time we had been to the Oaks and we were very pleasantly surprised.There is a beautiful lobby when you first come in with an open fireplace and the seating is very comfortable overlooking the river and the marsh. The menu had plenty to choose from and everything sounded so good. We had a hard time deciding.My onion soup and salad Nichoise was delicious and beautifully presented. My company was also happy with their choices. We shared a Keylime pie for dessert. It was divine , sharing it with three people was plenty. We will definitely return maybe, to visit the very lovely bar that was next-door.

Absolutely perfect. We were a party of 3, we well attended to. Tables were spaced such that conversation was not competitive between them. Good wine list, also good non alcoholic cocktail options. Food was expertly prepared and delicious. We had a wonderful evening and will be back soon.

Our 1st time here! We had such a great experience. Our server Mackenzie was very friendly & made great suggestions for every course. We started with a Holiday Sangria & calamari—-the calamari was delicious & great sauce. Our main entrees included redfish, flounder & seared scallops. You can chose how your want your fish prepared from 3 different selections. The scallops were huge & came with collards & whir rice peas…the sauce was delicious! Their dessert list is long. We opted for pecan & their special satsuma cheesecake—it definitely felt holiday with a ginger/orange flavor. Enjoy your dinner as all the servers have a great attitude. It’s elevated food in an open & warm environment! I would definitely go back for their small plates of oysters or mussels!

Another lovely meal at Dorothy’s. Service was excellent and food yummy . It’s always a pleasure!

My husband & I love sitting at the bar at Halyard’s for a martini and a good meal. Last night I ordered the chopped wedge salad and a bowl of the crab soup, which is hard to get and is always delicious here. Classic low-country “she-crab” soup. Adding sherry as the menu provides, is a must.
