- AAnneChicago / Illinois •10 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoService was wonderful, all were very attentive! Suggested great pastas that I would love and paired with the best wine! Lovely especially with the Christmas decor still up. Everyone was having a good time.More infoFilomena RistorantePrice: Expensive• Italian• Georgetown•4.8
- LLaurelVIPWashington, D.C. Area •4 reviews4.0Dined 1 day agoThe ambiance is unbeatable and the food was pretty good, but not exceptional for the price. The wine deal was great. The service was overall pretty good, but we had a few issues. When we arrived, with a reservation, we had to wait about 25 minutes for our table. We were eventually taken to the side room, so our table was nice, but I would’ve been disappointed if we’d gotten a table in the middle of the main area or upstairs because it wasn’t as cute and the main area was pretty chaotic. While waiting for the table, they suggested we wait at the bar, which we did, and nobody ever acknowledged us or took our order. When we sat down, there seemed to be confusion about who our server was and multiple people came up to our table to take our order and check on us. That being said, they were all very professional and helpful. I will say, it was my friend’s birthday, which I put on the reservation and reminded our (first) waiter, and they never did anything to acknowledge it. We ordered two desserts, and they didn’t even give her a candle!! I’ve never experienced that before, especially at a high-end restaurant. That was very disappointing.More infoLa Grande Boucherie - DCPrice: Very Expensive• French• Washington•4.4
- HHunterHouston •4 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoThis was probably the best experience I’ve had at Old Ebbitt Grill. We got seated in the bar area, which was warm and comforting on a cold, snowy night. Our waiter was awesome…incredible competent with just the right amount of sass. The food was amazing…everything we ate was delicious. And the company was wonderful. I can’t wait for others to come into town to take them here.More infoOld Ebbitt GrillPrice: Moderate• American• Downtown•4.8
- PPetraWashington, D.C. Area •13 reviews5.0Dined 7 days agoThere were 3 of out for a post holiday dinner. I remember when they opened in the 90s and have never been disappointed. There is a true French bistro vibe going on. They were nice and busy, with the hustle and bustle you’d expect. We started with moules frites and were delighted. The sauce was great, we stopped ourselves from ordering more bread from the server’s assistant, Anna, so we would have room for dinner. The gentlemen ordered steaks which were cooked to perfection. I had the cassoulet. Wow! Every last morsel was so tender they positively melted in my mouth. The tart tatin was the perfect dessert to share at the end. I am looking forward to returning.More infoBistrot Du CoinPrice: Moderate• French• Dupont Circle•4.4
- LLauraVIPAtlanta Metro •9 reviews5.0Dined on 1 Jan 2025Our recent visit to Founding Farmers was exceptional, offering a delightful culinary journey that pleased the entire family. We began by sharing the Buttermilk Biscuits and a medley of autumn vegetables. The biscuits were impressively large, featuring a crunchy exterior that gave way to a soft, fluffy center—truly a perfect start to our meal. For the main courses: •Youngest Son: Opted for the Sirloin Chili, which he thoroughly enjoyed. The chili boasted a balanced spiciness, making it both flavorful and approachable. •Mom: Chose the Goat Cheese Ravioli & Chicken Cutlet, a dish accompanied by butternut squash purée and pecan praline butter. The combination was exquisite, earning a solid 9.7/10 for its harmonious flavors and presentation. •Dad: Selected the Farmhouse Platter, which included fried chicken, BBQ pork ribs, baby cheeseburgers, street corn, and coleslaw. He cleared his plate, a testament to the meal’s excellence. •Teenager: Enjoyed the Meatloaf & Gravy, served with mashed potatoes and green beans. He expressed high praise for the dish, noting its rich flavor and satisfying portion. Even the house-made sodas were delightful, adding a refreshing touch to our dining experience. Our waiter, Anthony, provided outstanding service, enhancing our meal with his attentive and friendly demeanor. The food was so impressive that we decided to purchase the restaurant’s cookbook to recreate some of the dishes at home. Founding Farmers offers a warm atmosphere, exceptional service, and delectable farm-to-table cuisine. It’s a dining experience we highly recommend and look forward to repeating.More infoFounding Farmers DC: Foggy BottomPrice: Moderate• American• Foggy Bottom•4.5
