   We went for Sunday brunch, which was pretty easy to make reservation for party if 8 for 11:30am. Was surprised that even though OpenTable had reservation slot for 11:15am, they were only open at 11:30. Took a while for them to set the table and get us seated. Breakfast options were good, although I still got the prime rib dinner staples. We also tried the french toast, mushroom, shaved prime rib and sunnyside egg which were all good. The only disappointing dish was the chicken and waffles. The chicken was very bland. Also, impressed that there was live music even during brunch.

   The sea bass was way too thin and dry. A complete disappointment. It’s different than before. No more pre dinner snacks at the lobby.

   I have been going to Lowry‘s since I was a child. It used to have such a classy refined feel to it.  the service and experience were what you were paying for. Not only did the service vary from rushed to none at all, it just felt like a tourist trap. Two of us ordered the prime rib, one of us ordered a steak. They completely forgot to deliver the steak for at least 10 minutes until we flagged people down, but trying to get somebody’s attention was almost impossible. Finally, our waitress was flying by And took notice, and the stake turned up while we were halfway through with our prime rib. There’s nothing refined to it anymore. You’re basically paying to watch somebody spin a salad, and cut prime rib off of a rolling cart. But it was rushed. There was no discussion about what was happening. I won’t ever go back. But at least I have memories of what it used to be.

   I don't do reviews. As a kid (I'm 64 now) growing up in Chicago we use to go to this restaurant as a special treat. Dress code was Jacket for men. A "fine" dinning experience. I've live in OC and for my wife's B-day we decided to remake a memory of our past and drive over an hour to Beverly Hills. We had reservations and were seated right away. Just looking around the room most people were dress Sunday causal. So much for the ambience. Let's get to food. I had the lobster bisque-with only a small spec of lobster and a few croutons. Fair at best. My wife had a glass of Silver Oak wine-$65-are you kidding me...I understand mark up but.....next was the spinning salad-salad in a bowl server spins the bowl while pouting in too much salad dressing...yum. Dinner is always prime rib-as the old days in Chicago that's what you go there for. Always good. The waiter was pleasant. I travel around 300k miles for my business a year and there are so many great meat restaurants with ambience worth the value. I'm sorry to say this because I have such fond memories of this restaurant history but for bill over $350 this one is off my list. Goodbye sorry to see you die......

   I have been eating at Lawry's Beverly Hills since I was a child, always a great experience. Until my visit on November 20. It started with the server; not very friendly or outgoing. Did not connect with us. I wanted to buy 2 bottles of their famous salad dressing; I do this on every visit. They no longer have bottles of dressing, told it comes in a large vat. So no bottle of dressing above the spinning salad bowl, just dressing in a gravy boat pouring dressing on the salad. I always get English cut prime rib. I got 3 of the smallest pieces of meat I have ever seen. Quality good, quantity poor. Creamed spinach wasn't green, it was a greyish color with no taste and I usually rave about the spinach. Dress code wasn't enforced. There were men in shorts and tee shirts.

    Great service. Very attentive. Best prime rib. The mash potatoes are super creamy and delicious.
