One of Chicago’s finest dining experiences awaits you in this elegant town home setting that balances formality and friendliness. Your dinner may be paired with fine wines, as uncommon ingredients come together in perfect harmony. In operation since 1978, Les Nomades remains true to its distinctive character as an oasis of civilized tranquility amidst the bustling activity of its Streeterville location. Culinary creations delight the most discriminating palates. Savor Sautéed Foie Gras, or Lobster Ravioli with seared scallops; Roasted Breast and Confit Leg of Duck, or Duo of Roasted Partridge and Bison. Artisan cheeses are extraordinary and the pastries are sublime.
Please keep in mind that proper attire is required including a jacket for gentlemen.

This is one of the consistently best, overall restaurants in Chicago. Wonderfully executed French food, inviting environment and superb service. If tables are available near the fireplace, it is a perfectly cozy place to enjoy a comforting meal. Attention to details and a classic menu.

The food at Les Nomades is exquisite and never disappoints. My only wish was to have a slightly larger portion of the seared foie gras

I booked this for my husband's birthday as a treat. The evening started well - we had a warm welcome upon our arrival and shown immediately to our table at 7pm. We were offered a glass of champagne which arrived nicely chilled and promptly. We appreciated that the restaurant was quiet so we could talk properly and there is lots of space between tables, again which we appreciated. There were only two other couples in the restaurant, with no other guests arriving later, which meant it lacked a bit of atmosphere. The service was attentive and friendly and the tasting style menu expensive. We had high hopes. The food came and was tasty and generous portions but not fine dining (expected given the price). The bottle of wine was delicious (the wine list is great and impressive, although very much high end in terms of pricing). The evening turned sour at the end as I paid a $600 bill for two people, including drinks, wine, tasting menu and a tip of $60. The waiter approached me with fury on his face and demanded to know if I had offended him. He humiliated me in front of my husband and made me feel small. He told me patronisingly that the tip was derisory, and due to my embarrassment, I increased it. I wish I hadn't. He approached this situation so unprofessionally that he didn't deserve. The mood of our evening was ruined.

This is the quintessential classic fine dining experience without all the glitz and glam of the new fangled Michelin restaurants. A real classic French restaurant with a real pedigree. Every time we go we say we should go more. Hoping this will be around for a few years for people to enjoy, the food and service is simply perfect and very special. A dying breed in today's "trendy dining" scene.
