Owned and managed by husband and wife team, Daniel Crump and Margriet Vandezande-Crump, the pub and restaurant was named as the ‘One to Watch in the UK’s prestigious Top 50 Gastropubs Awards, named a TripAdvisor 2021 Travellers’ Choice Award Winner, and voted the best restaurant in Bucks & Oxon by guests in the annual Muddy Stilettos awards.
The Greyhound is made up of 3 key areas for guests to enjoy: an intimate drinking lounge and outside drinking terrace, the main restaurant for dining (upstairs and downstairs), and an outdoor covered and heated dining terrace.
The different menus showcase a commitment to using the best seasonal British produce available.
The Greyhound also stocks a diverse wine list, developed by Margriet, who is a certified sommelier with the Court of Master Sommeliers, as well as a wide range of international beers.

Good value roast dinner. One small issue - they advertise unlimited roast potatoes, Yorkshires and gravy. We asked 3 times for extra gravy as the meal was quite dry. The gravy did not come and there was no explanation or apology. Otherwise, it was all good.

The food was divine, the service exceptional. The environment quite dull and maybe that is by design so diners focus on the food and the experience but a little more decor would have been pleasing to the eye.

Benares has 4 private dining rooms, three of which are around the lounge: the Berkeley Room which seats up to 16 guests, the Sommeliers Table which seats up to 10 guests and a Chefs Table overlooking the kitchen which seats up to 8 guests. The lounge area leads into the main dining room which can accommodate up to 80 guests. Our largest private dining area, the Dover room seating up to 36 guests is on the other side of the main dining room.

Benares can be hired for exclusive events accommodating 100 guests for a sit-down dinner and 250 guests for a standing reception.

This was a last minute splurge on a recent quick trip to London from the States. So happy we did! The staff, first off, were all so kind and professional. The place was just lovely. The perfect combination of cozy, at-home and luxurious. The food! Every dish was beautiful to the eye and devilishly delicious. I wish we were not rushed, due to tickets to the theatre, but the staff was very attentive to not rushing us, while still keeping us on schedule. Each course was better than the last, and they even sent us off with a take-away, “for breakfast tomorrow.” We will definitely be back to Frog on our next trip, for a more relaxed, better to luxuriate in every course experience. Loved it!!

A superlative experience. Often, dining at a fine dining establishment either is too avant garde/experimentative, or is conventional with a stiff upper lip. Helen Darroze is neither; what it is is amazing hospitality, personal conversations, great ambience and exceptional service. The food itself is second to none. Each dish is a perfect and pure representation of what it’s meant to be, and every ingredient is both actively present in the dish and singing in harmony with the others. The wine list is incredible too and the sommelier offered us excellent pairing recommendations. Go for a special meal, you won’t go wrong.

Kai Mayfair’s cuisine has its foundation in Nanyang Chinese cooking, the region located within the South Seas of China. We opted for the Carte Blanche menu, which marks the fourth time we’ve dined at this establishment. As always, the food was truly outstanding, and the service remains exceptional—easily among the best in its class. However, I would not recommend the non-alcoholic drink pairing. The soft drinks tasted overwhelmingly like vinegar, and I believe fruit juice-based options might be a more suitable alternative. On the other hand, my friend chose the wine pairing and found it to be excellent.

What a fantastic experience. We are fans of “nose to tail” dining and love dishes made with organ meats and other elements not usually served in restaurants. Even so the cuisine here was extraordinary: Exceptionally well cooked and simply presented. And our server James was both knowledgeable and very attentive. All around a smashing dinner. It was my 60th birthday so we thought we’d celebrate in style at Restaurant Story. It started really well. We were warmly welcomed, and the food was lovely. Unfortunately our overall experience was let down by the very strange situation with the wine. Despite the sommelier talking to us as soon as we sat down, he did not explain the wine pairings to us, and then he disappeared and when the first course arrived he had still not taken our wine order. The other wait staff were great. They apologised and got it sorted out, but it was all very strange, and not what you expect from a Michelin starred restaurant.

Trinity reopened in October 2015 with the same ethos, culture and team whilst recreating a new and refreshing backdrop - retaining its sophistication and remaining a restaurant of significance in Clapham.

Chef Sebby Holmes launched Farang back in 2016 after trading at street food markets throughout London. A year later he took up temporary residency in Farang's current home in Highbury & Islington.
