We opened our first restaurant in Castlefield, Manchester in 2004 with a clear aim: To deliver quality food to local customers at a reasonable price in a sharp, modern space with friendly, unpretentious service. We have pursued that goal ever since and it has earned us many loyal customers. Our menu is probably classed as British with some additional favourites from Italy and around the globe. Albert's Worsley provides a slick, modern space with dining for 180 guests inside and features a fabulous outside dining terrace for 60.

We had to wait to be seated as we were told that our table was ready but then advised it was given to someone else and it would be a couple of minutes. That was not true and we had to enquire if the table was then ready, to which we were seated immediately. Although we were having the set Christmas menu we were also not offered a drinks menu, we had to pull this up via our phones. The server we finally had was nice, but we had to ask to do the Cluedo activity but he was attentive when serving the food. Normally it’s been really great here but the seating and no drinks menu was not the best experience.

Great food for vegetarians. The aubergine parmigiana is a must!!! Great portion size. Even when the restaurant is full the servers are always around to look after you. I’ve been to the Ivy many times and we were visiting for my sister’s birthday. The venue is lovely which is why I always come here for special occasions. Our server was friendly and helpful. Everyone was really happy with their meals and good size portions too. The buffalo mozzarella was very delicious. Lovely gesture to give my sister a free desert with a candle in it.

Lovely lunch with friends today. Service was excellent with someone who clearly enjoyed his job and explained the menu for us. Food was good and nobody minded us lounging over coffee/tea. Highly recommend and dog friendly too!

Food was excellent and plenty of it. I had the Texas BBQ Chicken and the batter is heavenly. Melts in the mouth. BBQ sauce was nice and tangy. The staff are friendly and attentive. We are not a ‘fancy pants’ establishment. Not in the least. We offer good quality, home-cooked, locally sourced (where possible) food. 90% of our menu is made on the premises. Certainly not ‘Pub Grub’ but not ‘Gastro Pub’ either. It’s good value for money. However, our standards are high, very high. Not only in the quality of the food that comes into and leaves the kitchen but also in the presentation, the delivery to the table and overall customer service. We’re definitely not ‘Silver Service’ either but all of our staff are attentive, smartly dressed and will always go that extra mile wherever they can. These are just some of the reasons we were awarded the Taste of the West GOLD award in 2019.

It’s been a while since we’ve had an Assembly House afternoon tea and had forgotten quite how good they are compared to others available. We were warmly greeted at restaurant reception and quickly shown to our table. After a suitable time gap our drinks request was taken by a friendly and efficient staff member, our pots of tea soon arriving. Our multi tiered tea stand then arrived with an explanation of all the delights thereon, with a request to just ask when we were ready for our scones and/or wanted our second pot of tea. Every tier was a delight as were the scones. Several other tables opted for the ‘doggie box’ but I’m afraid we scoffed the lot. We have a Norfolk Passport card so we’re entitled to a 10% discount. One of my favourite local places for brunch. Food is excellent - we both had the Eggs Benedict with perfectly cooked poached eggs - and good value for money. The service was friendly and charming, as well as speedy and efficient, and the atmosphere lovely. Highly recommended!

Christmas Sunday lunch was lovely, the belly pork main was stunning, the pork was soft and cooked perfectly, the service was nice and relaxing, the only shame was the pudding unfortunately on the main menu there wasn't anything we liked but we were offered sticky toffee pudding which was nice but the sticky toffee sauce was missing, which was a shame.

Our group met for the Christmas party menu. I had the classic prawn cocktail, traditional turkey dinner followed by creme brulee. Prawn cocktail was very good, fresh lettuce, good bread and a decent portion of prawns and sauce. Turkey dinner good but perhaps would have been better with roast potatoes. Creme brulee came with a fresh berry coulis, superb!

A great place for lunch or dinner. The menu remains fairly steady which means all the dishes are tried and tested and can be cooked to perfection every time. This was our first visit here and after a family function at the symphony hall we can e here. We had my mom with us who has very poor mobility, but the staff were really kind and helpful and guided us to the lift to the downstairs restaurant area. The staff were attentive, friendly, interactive and humorous - really great. The food was generally good, with the exception of the braised beef which was tough and fatty - seemed like left over beef slices rather than braised beef. As a group of 5 we are here for my vegan sons birthday. Since he became vegan very tricky finding somewhere nice to eat, and not pan Asian food. The rest of us are big meat eaters. Beautiful venue, perfect music levels, beautiful decor and light. Son was blown away by the food, it was certainly very good, although we had to have the festive menu whereas I would have preferred normal menu especially for first visit so couldnt try the “steak” . A tad expensive but then it was a birthday dinner so that ok. Well worth a visit as very few good independents in the area.

Utter Waffle - a gem within the South London brunch scene! We opened our Herne Hill restaurant in 2021, and since have become an institution in Herne Hill's small but awesome food scene. Since our launch, we've collected a small cabinet of trophies and awards, and have even cooked our savoury waffles on Masterchef, Sunday Brunch & Saturday Kitchen!
Our busy brunch restaurant serves everything from fried chicken & waffles and our signature avo smash, to bottomless brunch & craft beers. For those with a sweet tooth - fret not as the desserts are pretty good too - (we're even the proud winners of The Best Dessert in the UK (British Street Food Awards)), so there really is something for everyone!

Delight in a delicious selection of sandwiches, freshly baked scones with clotted cream & jam and a selection of famous Doddington cakes and dainty sweet treats, located in our Restaurant situated next to the Café. Book for either the first sitting at 12pm or 12:15pm or for the second sitting 2:15pm or 2:30pm, Wednesdays through to Sundays. Please notify us of any Allergies or Dietary requirements in the 'special requests' when booking. Tables are booked for 1 hour and 30 minutes.
Closed Mondays & Tuesdays.
We recommend pre-booking online to avoid disappointment. Walk-ins subject to availability.

Comfortable seating. Food fresh and tasty served by friendly and very helpful staff. Wide range of non alcoholic drinks. Would recommend a visit.

Plants by DE highlights the delicious diversity and abundance of plants. You’ll find anything from vegan vanilla pancakes with roasted strawberries to a refreshing baby gem Caesar salad with macadamia parmesan or a warming heritage tomato summer stew with aubergines, chickpeas and delicious pesto.
We make everything in house, including our cultured vegan butter, cashew crème fresh, and crushed walnut parmesan.

In summer, our outside seating let's you enjoy the nice weather, while our cozy and light interior gives our guests to enjoy the deliciousness of plant-based food all year round.

The Pavilion at Kensington Palace

The Orangery is now closed for refurbishment and we have relocated to the Pavilion just in front of the Orangery, surrounded by beautiful formal gardens in the grounds of Kensington Palace The Pavilion, a relaxed and elegant setting for breakfast or lunch and the only royal palace in London where you can enjoy a traditional afternoon tea. We have a birds eye view of the Sunken Garden and the wiggly walk, which you can enjoy from our covered terrace.

Kensington Palace is now closed for visits to prepare for the new exhibition and will reopen from 13th of December. The Pavilion Restaurant will be open as usual between Wednesday to Sunday, 10:00-16:00.

My young daughter and I had a wonderful afternoon tea! The wait staff were all so kind and accommodating and we felt so welcomed. The menu looks fantastic so we plan to come back and have another meal next time we’re in London.
