The Boatman, is Windsor’s only pub on the river at the foot of Windsor Castle overlooking Eton Bridge. Serving freshly cooked food all day everyday from midday to 9pm at night, in the cosy bar, restaurant or in the stunning riverside all-weather conservatory, there is a fine selection of wine, ales, cocktails to choose from.
The bar area and terrace is dog friendly, we cannot accept any pets in the conservatory or restaurant.

A great Sunday lunch with the family. A wide menu selection and still roasts available late afternoon which went down well with our group! Pretty generous portions and good quality food. Ambiance and service were great, felt very Christmassy and cosy. Definitely recommend!

Executive chef and owner, Jamie Dobbin is passionate about local sourcing and traditional dishes, such as Half dozen Porthilly rock oysters with shallot dressing, Brixham King scallops with burnt butter cauliflower and caviar or Portland hogget Shepherd’s pie with grilled cutlet.
Serious meat lovers can expect 45 day aged native and rare breed steak on offer as well as a hero dish of Beef Wellington for two. Fish is of course wild, sustainable, and British, sourced from day boats on the South coast with the daily catch delivered straight to the door in a matter of hours. There is a handsome bar menu too, and as always, Sunday roasts are a big fixture on the menu every week.

A great welcome from a quaint, pleasant restaurant, the food was perfect and the service even more so. The menu was full of tempting dishes with even more choice on a specials board. Staff here are very polite and tentative and I can most definitely, highly recommend Fiume restaurant. My only criticism is that the car park isn’t the biggest so parking during busy times I imagine could be tricky, unless there is an overflow car park that I am unaware off.

We had just returned from family trip and decided to have dinner out rather than cook, so we dropped down to the Duncombe Arms it turned out to be a good decision. We had he Venison Shepard's Pie which was very good and a glass of red from their excellent wine list. It was a Monday night so very quiet but an enjoyable evening.

Our meat comes from ABR butchers, based in Bearsden.

Lovely dinner only issue was when we asked if our 87 year old mum could have a small portion the waitress said they only do one size which is a waste surely if restaurants offered older people who cannot manage a large meal the option of a smaller portion it would save on food waste as in this instance we ordered our mum a normal meal and she left half of it not for any reason other than there was too much on her plate. However the food and service was full value for money

Never been before but I’d go again. Not been to Spain but I bet it’s authentic. Don’t drink beer or wine but I’m sure theirs is fabulous. Don’t eat meat, fish or cheese but the vegan tapas were fantastic. A jewel.

In 2016 the Old School BBQ was born, using a freshly imported 1982 Bluebird International American school bus from Arizona as a mobile kitchen.

The bus was converted from a traditional seated bus to a fully functional kitchen, with smokers and griddles to cook low and slow BBQ food. The OSB journey had begun, trading from humble beginnings on a local pub car park in Failsworth.

Our little yellow bus soon became a familiar landmark and we became more and more popular with lunch goers who wanted freshly prepared, appetising food served with a smile. Soon demand meant that we would be more often than not greeting our customers with a "sold out" sign, so it was time to expand.

So here we are, with a covered seated area serving our firm favourites, complemented with a fully licenced bar and WC facilities... did we mention the stage? That's right, we also provide live music from various acts from near and far - we are sure you will find our eatery to be like no other!

The set menu has been extended, the menu has just a few dishes with a varied selection. The variety allows enough choice to visit numerous times and have a different menu choice each time. We loved it! I’ve had this place on my list for quite some time and it definitely did not disappoint. Our new favourite place. Friendly staff especially a young guy very professional and attentive for his age. Very refreshing. The Tempura prawns were to die for and the Sunday roast one of the best we have ever sampled. The views were incredible. The ambience perfect. It was very busy but the place felt very calm and relaxing. Lovely lunch. Can’t wait to go back!

Rocky Bottoms started out as an 1800s brick kiln with a purpose to fire bricks. Eventually the brick kiln was unable to compete with larger competitors and closed down after WW2. Since this time the brick kiln has offered itself as agricultural storage until it collapsed and stood derelict.

In 2008 the brick kiln’s potential and need of restoration was spotted by local fishing family; The Matthews. After years of love and attention, Rocky Bottoms, as we know it today was born. The atmosphere was lovely, Christmas decorations were being put up, and everyone was enjoying the evening. The service was excellent, both our waitresses were very attentive,even though it was very busy. This is obviously a very popular restaurant in the area. The food was excellent,but we thought a little expensive. It is certainly worth a visit if you are in the area. A coach load of young men were about to enter as we left, not sure how that changed the situation .....

The quality of the food overall was very good, however the sticky toffee pudding could have been hotter and the custard less runny. The staff were very pleasant but as our stay continued and the number of covers increased thet did appear stretched and we had rather a longer wait for our dessert course than I would usually expect dining here. The ambience during our two hour dining experince was rather spolit towards the end by excess noise from other diners so much so that it became difficult to hold a conversion at normal voice level. Please accept these as constructive comments as we really like eating at the Drumming Snipe and hope to be back in the new year.

Had an absolute wonderful time celebrating our daughter's birthday. Everything about the evening was spot on. Only slight (very slight negative) was the wait for our starters). The Rose Inn is located in the beautiful rural area of North Warwickshire in the village of Baxterley with stunning views over Leicestershire, Birmingham and on

The Rose sits opposite the site of the old Baddesley colliery, behind the village green and duck pond with an orchard and large relaxing area overlooking the pond.

Originally believed to be a 'Gentleman's residence', the building dates back to the 18th century and has served as a courthouse, jail, mortuary and for more than a hundred years as a public house.

The food was, as always, absolutely lovely. 3 of us had the roast beef that was cooked to perfection. My only slight criticism was it wasn't hot. I understand they were very busy, but I'd of liked it hotter. Service was a bit slower than normal but again assume that was due to how busy they were, which does say a lot about the venue and what it offers.

Best pub we’ve been too so far, we try and go once a month for a meal and then watch one of the bands and every time we’re so happy with the service, food and atmosphere. Also the Moris dancing and the new year party is brilliant!

An excellent semi-rural pub & restaurant with easy access to M5 motorway A38 to Bromsgrove. Excellent food, well prepared & fresh to order. Dog friendly in Bar only but good tables & roaring log burner. Met with family from Birmingham to exchange Xmas gifts & have a meal. Only a moderate wait for food despite being busy. Close to bottom of Lickey Hills & popular with hikers & dog walkers. Table booking essential, even on weekdays, due to popularity. Monday to Friday set menu is only £21 per person for 2 courses out of 3. We chose starter & main. Can't fault the establishment & food arrives piping hot. Will definitely eat there again & would recommend to anyone. Also a seperate bar menu available for more choice. Staff very friendly & helpful.

The food and service at the Shibden Mill Inn remains excellent. The Christmas menu contains the traditional dishes with some interesting twists on that available. We are irregular regulars as we no longer live locally though when visiting it is our go to GastroPub.

The Crathorne Arms is a great pub in a wonderful community spirited village, lovely people, Lord Crathorne himself couldn’t be more supportive, how lucky we are.

Our life has come a full circle from a town pub in Middlesbrough (well Eugene has) to the tontine (McCoys Hotel, Restaurant and Bistro) to a village pub in Crathorne, Ten Minutes from Middlesbrough.

We live above the pub, our furniture and furnishings live downstairs as they can’t and won’t fit up the stairs! So the canoe has the condiments, the bookcases our books, the huge sofa with big squashy cushions to sink into, tin lanterns reflecting patterns on the ceiling, this all makes for a homely feel and that’s what we would like to create along with good wholesome food and drink.

Of Course the staff, front of house and kitchen are all great, hardworking, smiley, enthusiastic young people and a joy to work with.
