   Warmly welcomed on arrival as always! Cool as a Cuke cocktail was very refreshing. The dressing on the spring salad was strongly overseasoned. Ribeye and filet cooked perfectly! Caramel on the crème brûlée the tiniest bit over, a faint burnt taste. Wine we chose poured at an appropriate temperature. Service felt rushed, something we haven’t experienced previously and the table really needed to be cleared. Otherwise an enjoyable evening and a good meal.

   Our first time in Harrisonburg and our first time at Local Chop House. We had an excellent meal from start to finish. If you’re visiting or just driving through, don’t miss this dining experience - and ask to sit on the sun porch!

   Great experience. Service was top notch. Grady was our server. He was very attentive throughout the night and prompt. Highly recommend

   I have to say we have been coming to The Chop House for 10 years when we come into town and have always enjoyed coming here and the food was delicious. We were so disappointed this time around but we were also told a couple of years ago management changed hands and it has gone down hill ever since. Food was Luke warm at its best, steak was hard and dry. The best thing on our plate was the mushrooms and asparagus! Service was ok, nothing to brag about!. When we made our reservations for 4 people we shared that we were celebrating a birthday and also anniversary, no acknowledgment whatsoever ever. Sure hope you can get some standard's back with this restaurant because its ashamed to see it go down hill

   This may have been one of the best dining experiences I've ever had. The staff we worked with were positive, upbeat, and eager to offer their expertise to make sure we had the best possible dining experience.

   We picked Chop House for date night, and we were not disappointed! The food and service were top-notch. I highly recommend the Caesar salad, catfish, and green beans with mushrooms. Our only regret is we were too full for dessert.

   Excellent food, everything cooked as requested. Accommodated fish/shellfish allergy (separate frier). Grady our server was exceptional. We will definitely be back on our next trip.

   We loved Local Chop! We chose it for our anniversary dinner and had a great experience. Chris was so kind and provided wonderful menu suggestions. From what I can tell they source ingredients locally as much as possible, and organic/pastured/etc when possible. Because of that and the ambience of the restaurant it is a bit pricy, but the portions were generous and the quality was excellent. I definitely recommend if you’re looking for a restaurant for a special occasion and/or quality ingredients.

    Amazing, no words can describe how great was this experience, the place has an amazing atmosphere and food is delicious. Definitely will be going back.
