We were delighted to find that this Michelin restaurant from Long Beach was opening near Little Tokyo in DTLA. The food was inventive and delicious as well as beautifully presented. Service was perfect! We’ll be back!

This gem of a Restaurant has the most unique and beautiful salt water aquarium I’ve ever seen. Unique because it’s located on the restaurant’s ceiling. Also the bottom of the aquarium had several domes to give a fish eye view of the beautiful fish. Pausing underneath the aquarium and gazing into the transparent dome of glass, I felt like a fish gazing at my friends under the sea. We ordered whatever our heart’s desired and there happened to be an absolutely lovely jazz trio there to entertain and delight. I felt Blessed beyond Measure

Excellent dinner! Dining room seemed a bit loud so we sat outside where there were large heaters and blankets were offered (not needed). The food and service were top notch. Expect to pay over $100 per person but well worth it

I've seen lots of negative comments about pre-theater meals at Vespaio. I can't speak to these. The four of us went early (5 p.m.) after a matinee at the Ahmanson, partially in order to avoid rush hour traffic. Our meal was outstanding! We had pork belly, a pasta, pizza, and rockfish (special for the night). All were very, very good. The rosemary potatoes were probably the best potatoes I've EVER had (potatoes may seem like a trivial part of a meal, but they're an indicator). Service was prompt, friendly, and helpful. My guess is that if you pick the time you go so the restaurant isn't too crowded and if you're not too rushed, you'll have as good a meal as you'll find almost anywhere in the L.A. area.

Overall it was a great experience. Joyce is a cute date night restaurant with shareable serving portions. The staff was attentive and friendly and our server was great. The food presentation was visual pleasing. Unfortunately, the food lacked flavor. Overall the taste of the food was just okay. A solid experience in every way. Beautiful atmosphere, delicious and unique dishes, excellent service, and decent prices. Eli served us at the bar, she was warm and professional. We had a carpaccio with balsamic pearls that burst with flavor. Pizza dough was yeasty and flavorful, pasta fresh and silky. Good Italian wines by the glass with a decent pour and reasonable price point. I’ll be back.

Enjoyed our time at the lounge! The crab lettuce wraps were good. Sauce a bit spicey. Spring rolls were good & the sauce. Green beans were stringy & tough. Not much flavor. Great atmosphere!

Came here to celebrate my birthday. The waitress (I forgot her name) was amazing. She was very attentive to me and my rowdy group of friends. The DJ played hip hop bangers all night, perfect for dancing.
