   Wonderful dining experience - loved the oyster stew, trout, and pecan pie!!! We had not been here for 2 yrs and are happy to report the quality has not changed - it is excellent!

   We always look forward to our return visits to Lucky Rooster and being taken care of by OZ. The early dining menu was a pleasant surprise and did not disappoint. Our group enjoyed the octopus appetizer, pear and arugula salad and Caesar salad. Some had the short rib (always a favorite) and the trout. Do not pass up the peach cobbler with vanilla ice cream One of the local gems not to be overlooked

   We have been to lucky rooster several times in the past and always found the food to be outstanding. It wasn’t quite up to our expectations this time. The mussels, one of our favorites, just didn’t taste as good. The sales order was a little bit of a miss…came without a dressing. Just didn’t seem quite up to past excellence, though the server was very gracious and other aspects of the meal were fine.

   I had a lovely experience outdoors on the patio with my dog. They even provide him ice water. The food had a lot of flavor and the service was so kind

   You must get the biscuit with hot honey. Get there early enough before they sell out. Also try the early bird menu. Such an excellent value, cooked to perfection and flavorful. Salad, entree and dessert. I even took some home so it was a generous portion size. Will definitely return. Service was impeccable as well.

   I ate at the Lucky Rooster 8 years ago and it was one of my favorite restaurants in the south. This was my first time back. We ate there in a Saturday night. The menu had good variety of items but more abbreviated than I remembered. The food and presentation were excellent. I had the shrimp and scallops (4 medium local shrimp, 2 scallops) and my husband had the pork chop. For the price $40 (especially in comparison to other restaurants the days prior) I felt the amount of seafood was on the small side. We also each had a salad. Both The wedge and house salad were large portions and very fresh. There’s a nice wine selection and bar. The outdoor seating was a pleasant surprise. Overall I still think this is a hidden gem and very under appreciated. I hope people give it a try.

   The Lucky Burger was outrageously delicious, and my husband really enjoyed the lamb meatloaf. Pear salad was delicious also. Our server was great, very attentive, and a joy to chat with! Wonderful dinner for our last night in Hilton Head. Will be back on our next trip to HH.
