   We had a superb meal ( nearly every part of it was excellent in taste and presentation!) and were very well looked after! We were at Lussmans for a special occasion and will return as soon as we can.

   My best friend and I had a truly delightful lunch at Harpenden Lussmanns. She said the Shepherd Pie could not have been more delicious and she was very impressed with her dessert, the pineapple carpaccio. I chose just a starter, the Linguine ala Norma which was much more than I could finish, but it too was delicious. My dessert, poached pear with sorbet and chopped nuts was more delicious than I can do justice to with mere words.

   We eat here regularly. Absolutely faultless in every way. The menu changes regularly to stay seasonal so it is always interesting.

   This was a superlative lunch with a lovely friend who had never eaten there before; she will be going again! She chose the shepherd pie and professed it to be “the best ever”; she accompanied this with a ginger cordial and her dessert was just a simple ice cream as the pie had proved so successful.I had the “minced lamb” with flatbread: the quotation marks are because it is a vegetarian dish which is totally and absolutely scrumptious. It is delightfully spiced and the “minced lamb” is made with,among other ingredients, beetroot, though you wouldn’t know this.I tried the tira misu and found it also delicious.

   This is my fourth meal in this restaurant in as many months. My friends and I just love the whole experience and are never disappointed. Going again next month too!

    I took a friend with me who had never eaten at Lussmanns. To say she was delighted would be the understatement of the year! She chose the Smoked Haddock & free range poached egg and said it was quite the best she had ever tasted. She was equally pleased with her dessert, which was which was the Bramley apple crumble with Barnet ice cream, hazelnuts, and rosemary. I chose the chickpea and spice tomato hotpot and the sticky date and ginger pudding, whose sauce was exquisite. My friend is going to make sure her son takes her there as soon as possible.
