   They did not tell my mom they were out of her order until ALL of our orders had already come out. She had to order a tasteless salad because that would have been the fastest thing to come out to avoid waiting another 30 for a meal. Ridiculous

   We love Marathon! The food is excellent and there's something for everyone (including dietary restrictions). Drinks and desserts are equally delicious. The service is always prompt, kind, and personal. Marathon's atmosphere is cozy yet spacious and located in a super popular part of the city!

   Thia is the second time we've dined here. We started with a bowl of the delicious tomato basil and the calamari. We had the soup on our first visit, and it didn't disappoint this time either. The calamari was a bit spicy, but it was very tasty. I tried the cheese steak (only because I haven't eaten one yet this trip) tasty but not one you search out for. My wife had the grilled chicken breast, very nice. My daughter enjoyed the vegetable capaillnini with shrimp. Great service and ambiance. Definitely stop in again next time we're in Philadelphia.

   Busy day at Marathon. Usually a big fan, but they were extremely busy thanks in large part to the Philadelphia MArathon being held, the food was fine but not as good as usual (and it is usually pretty tasty - think elevated diner food), and despite the server's best efforts food service was very slow - 45+ minutes from order to the start of staggered delivery to the table. Still a fan of the restaurant, where I've been many times before, but probably will not be quite as quick to make a reservation as before this vist.

   The entire experience was wonderful! My friends took me out for a birthday brunch, and everything from the service to the food was excellent! Highly recommend!

    We were looking for a pre-concert dinner and found this restaurant just a few blocks from the Kimmel Center. Their American cuisine was very good. My wife had a crab cake that she described as delicious (I had a taste - it was very moist and meaty) and I had the baby back ribs with pomegranate barbecue sauce. They were good if a bit dry - could have used a little less cooking time or a little more sauce. We both couldn't stop eating our sweet potato fries which were excellent, and the cole slaw was also very good. The ambience is that of a family restaurant or upscale diner, and service was friendly and courteous if a little on the slow side. The price was very good for a Philly restaurant - about $50 for the two of us, including an iced tea. We'll defiintely consider coming back (possibly with our grandkids - they have a good kids' menu).
