Marino Ristorante is deeply rooted in Hollywood since the late 1950’s when Ciro (Mario to friends) Marino landed in Hollywood and has ever since had generations of who’s who in the movie, record, art, political and business LA community at his tables. Today it is still family owned and given its warm welcome flavor by the second generation of Marinos, Mario in the dining room and brother Sal in the kitchen.

The decor is modern and comfortable with memorabilia from a 60 year career which all come together to create its appeal. Described by many marrying the quintessential NY Italian in Los Angeles for its history coupled with today’s seasonal menu, highlighting the best locally sourced ingredients and top notch freshest seafood available.

Marino is hands down one of the best restaurants in Los Angeles. Mario and his brother are a wonderful culinary duo who make you feel at home with their hospitality and consistently great food!

As always, the food is superb and the service above and beyond. Great Italian food is hard to come by in Los Angeles because it’s depends almost entirely on the quality of individual ingredients. Marino’s takes that task seriously. Yes, the pasta is amazing, as one would expect. But the dishes we associate more with California also delight. More than just a neighborhood gem. Almost a little trip to Italy…

Even though we have left California, when we are back we find a reason to visit Marino. Mario and Sal are the best, as is the wait staff especially Andrea. We shared the cassonetti with shaved truffles and the grilled calamari salad. With a glass of wine and a basket of their delicious bread it was perfect meal.
