   Great experience 10/10 for the patio holiday light view, 10/10 service from my server Paul. We were so extremely lucky to see Santa as he walked around to greet us and taking photos with everyone. It truly was a memorable holiday meal experience.

   Booked a dinner for 2 at 6:30. Unfortunately this was during the Festival of Lights so there was a lot of traffic and issues parking. Once to the host’s stand we checked in and still waited 10 minutes to be sat. Staff was friendly but once inside we realized it was almost empty besides 3 other tables. We ordered the shrimp linguine and the chicken breast. The food was a bit bland and we needed to add a lot of salt and pepper to each meal, definitely not worth the price tag. We felt like we paid for the ambiance only. The table bread was warm and delicious, the best part of the meal. Unfortunately I wouldn’t come back.

   Mission Inn d citations are always beautiful however the quality and taste of the food has definitely gone down. I ordered Innkeeps Pasta which was cold and lacked flavor they also only had a limited menu for dinner which did not live up to Mission Inn standards. I have been coming to the hotel several times during the holidays and never had a bad meal. I hope last night was an exception and not the rule!

   Can’t eat rice. Asked to substitute mashed potatoes. Was told no the chef is not making any substitutions tonight. Next time I’ll eat somewhere they understand some people have conditions that cause them not to be able to eat certain foods. Very disappointing.

   It’s a great time of year to go and we went for lunch. It is a beautiful historical building and decorated beautiful for the holidays. Service was slow starting with the Hostess that made us wait for 30 minutes when there were very few people to seat and many tables open. Server was very nice and friendly but seemed to have disappeared for quite a while when we wanted to get our check to go. Food was just alright.

   We had never visited The mission Inn. We celebrated my daughters 22nd Birthday, however, It was as impressive as I thought it would be. The Architecture was breathtaking! We will definitely visit or even stay the night.

    We booked this on the night of the Mission Inn Christmas lights festival kickoff. We were not disappointed. First of all, you get special access to the hotel, lobby and light show with a reservation. That alone saves tons of time and the burden of standing in long lines in the cold. Then there's the restaurant... What a beautiful example of early 19th Century California architecture and craftsmanship. All of the finishes from the molding and tile to the details in the Christmas decorations are beautiful. I felt like I was in a Bing Crosby movie - in Technicolor. Finally, the food and service are both 5 star! The buffet we enjoyed was curated with high quality, well made classics like shrimp cocktail, prime rib, salad bar and all the fixings. Beverages like lemonade and coffee were included. The service was friendly and very attentive. Just get here early for this festival. It took us almost an hour to get in and find parking, and the negotiate the crowds to get here from the lot. Crazy busy, but so, so worth it.
