   My only complaint was the how much salt was used on the food. Service was perfect.

   The food was excellent and reasonably priced. The service was generally good, however, our major issue was that we informed our server from the start that we were making the show at the nearby theater after dinner. Our reservation, 2 hours in advance of the show, took this into account. Yet, despite putting our entire order (all courses) in from the beginning, we were rushed at the end when our main courses came out extremely late, and we had to cancel our dessert order for lack of time to eat it. This was not a pleasant experience. We would still try the Moonshine again, but would probably note our prior experience should this be another pre-show dinner.

   Service was outstanding! Had a reservation, were seated very timely. Food was very tasty. I had the hanger steak, and my wife had the duck. The steak was cooked as requested - medium rare. Portions could have been a bit larger - only thing that kept the food from being outstanding. Accompaniments were very tasty as well. Drinks were good. Would return to restaurant in the future.

   Our server was amazing. The food and drinks delicious. The DJ on Saturday nights is the best !

   WARNING: If you plan to see a show at the Paper Mill Playhouse, do NOT eat here. Our experience was so disappointing that I feel compelled to warn others. What a disaster! We arrived at 5:45 p.m. for dinner because we had tickets for the 7:30 show at Paper Mill Playhouse. Our server, a friendly guy, immediately asked if we were going to the show, and when we said "Yes," he urged us to order quickly. We did—well before 6:00 p.m. The appetizers and drinks took about 20 minutes, but the main courses were far away. At 6:45 pm, I got anxious and asked our server where the food was. He said he would check—nothing! At 7:00 pm, I asked again. Still, no food! Want to know when our food finally arrived? 7:22 pm! We literally couldn't eat any of it. We had to have it boxed up immediately and asked for the check. I was billed for the total amount—no discount, no apology, nothing. To top it off, my wife's risotto was rock-hard. We had to revive it ourselves the next day in our kitchen to make it edible. What an absolute disgrace. My kids went without dinner, and we ended up ordering a pizza at 11:30 pm after the show. I am beyond angry, and the fact that the owner or manager never even spoke to us adds insult to injury. It's as if our experience didn't matter to them at all.

   Good neighborhood spot. Service was very good. We frequent Moonshine but unfortunately this evening they were out of two things we ordered, one of which was a wine by the glass, which seems odd.

    Some of the food, like the breakfast Mac and Cheese and the bacon slab were of poor quality. I am not even sure that the bacon slab was actually bacon rather than a ham steak. The Breakfast Mac and Cheese was pasta with pancetta with a watery cheese sauce poured in and mixed around. It was worse quality than getting Kraft Mac and Cheese out of a box. Our waitress was very nice. However, either she or the bartender forgot my second drink, a Bellini more than once. The deserts were excellent, and we were too full to finish them. We asked the bus boy to package them for us. 20 minutes later and after paying the check, we asked the bus boy what happened to the desserts, and he apologized for throwing them out. We left very frustrated.
